How to enable  course comments

Course Settings - Actions - Comments



This setting allows you to enable or disable comments for the entire course at once.


How to enable comments only for certain lessons and/or assignments


To enable comments to certain lessons and/or assignments, go to the settings of the corresponding lessons/assignments (click on the "gear" icon to the right of the lesson title).

 


Check the box "Enable comments" and save the settings.


How the comments are displayed


If comments are enabled, a comment section appears below lessons and/or assignments, where you can write a text or attach a file.



Note that the file cannot be sent without any text comments in the text field.

Both employees and students can post comments. 


Where to find notifications about new comments


Notifications about new comments are displayed directly in the course card in the "preview" tab.  If there are new comments, you can see a number corresponding to the number of comments displayed next to the lesson and/or assignment.




After clicking on the lesson, you need to scroll through the lesson content to the comment section.  



The student's name/email address in the comment is clickable and allows you to access the student's profile quickly.

To mark the notification as read, click on the "Mark as Read" button, then the number displayed next to the lesson name will disappear upon refreshing the page.



To delete a comment, click on the three dots  in the upper-right corner and click "Delete".
