In addition to primary email notifications sent out to the student without fail (for example, the notification of registration at the school), the student can subscribe to other notifications.

When setting up their profile, each student can subscribe to or unsubscribe from various notifications by clicking on the icon in the upper right corner of the page and then clicking “Go to profile”.  By default, a notification of a new personal message is enabled in the profile settings.

  • "New Personal Message" and "New Group Message" emails notify the student of new messages in the personal chat or the course chat respectively.
  • "Reviewed Assignment" email notifies the student of the assignment that has been reviewed by the instructor; it also contains a link to the assignment.
  • "New course assignment" and "New lesson" emails notify the student about the publication of a new assignment or a lesson in the course that the student is currently taking.
  • "New course in school" email notifies the student of a new course that has been published in school. This email can only be sent if the course is set to be available to "All visitors" or "Registered school users".
  • "The lesson in the calendar course has started" informs the student about the start time of the lesson in the calendar course.

When the notification is enabled, the circle button is highlighted in orange.

Why a student does not receive email notifications.

A student needs to confirm their email address by clicking “Confirm” in the note "Confirm your email to receive notifications" displayed below the heading “Email notifications”.

Then, the student needs to locate the email in their inbox (by checking all the folders, including "Mailing Lists", "Promo", and "Spam") and click the “Confirm email” button.

If a student doesn't want to receive email notifications.

The student can unsubscribe from mailings in the "Email Notifications" section by turning off the necessary checkboxes in their profile settings. Primary email notifications cannot be disabled.

By clicking the course purchase button, the student agrees to all the school documents.
